The Problems, The Goals,  My Roles to Achieve Success

Project Overview

According to my UX/UI Case Study scenario, SuccourMe is an emergency app that allows users 
to get rescued in troubled times. This app aims to help its users send quick notifications to their
relatives and get them located at any nearest police station. 

The Problems

* Thando is an intern fashion-design student who needs to Find an easy and fast way to connect with a police station near her in danger because Her job requires her to travel from different places around the city, so her safety matters.
* Adam is a Software engineer
who needs A way to connect with his family and the nearby police station while outside.

The Goals

Our emergency app will let users Send notifications to their relatives which will affect users in a robbery, kidnapping, or any emergency by Simply notifying their relatives of the current precise 
location and the nearest police station
contact details. we will measure the effectiveness 
by how quickly the notifications reach the relatives.

My Roles to Achieve Success

Defining the project, conducting UX Research to understand user, create wireframe, high-fidelity prototyping and UI with design system and finally testing with usability study.

I asked questions 5 people with different backgrounds who have been or witnessed emergency cases and I tried to understand their needs, problems, and wishes.

Users care about their safety, after all, notifying their relatives quickly when they need help in a dangerous situation. That gives them a good experience while managing all those  App features.

An empathy map was created to better empathize with participants by focusing on a single interview.

* “I’m not sure how I will find help in a robbery or any kind of dangerous situation.”

* “I’d love to notify my relatives by calling them or sending them a message. ”
* “Ideally, I will shout for help, if there aren’t many people I can ask for help”
* “I’m willing to take action for my safety.”

Persona

Personas are fictional users whose goals and characteristics represent the needs of a larger group of users.
The goal is to create a realistic persona to empathize with users while 
creating design solutions your users might need.

Adams Brown

Adams is a software engineer who lives in Cape Town with his family, as Adams works for a big company overseas, operating from home is a better option for his job.
In the daytime, he does some online coding projects.  sometimes he prefers doing it at the nearest local coffee shop where he can refresh his mind with outdoor views, but he gets frustrated due to the unavailability of safe measures in certain areas of the town. 

Goals

To learn new skills that will new work opportunities.

To become an owner of one or two mobile apps built by myself

To find a comfortable place to work that maximizes productivity and safety.

Frustraction

Sometimes it is hard to find an adequate space at the coffee shop or 
park to work with no worry about your safety.

It is common to worry about my family or relative’s safety out there 
knowing that anything can happen anytime anywhere.

He would like to use an app that will allow relatives or family to track 
or notify one another in dangerous situations. 

Thando Dube

Thando is completing a F.D in Fashion Design and hopes an internship will launch her career in fashion design. she most enjoys the time spent working with their mentor on an advertisement campaign and hosting fashion shows. They think that finding yourself in a dangerous area or situation is common in the country while doing daily tasks. for them having a help app will increase their safety and decrease their worries while going to school or to work freely for a brighter future.

As a software engineer who works full-time for a big company overseas, I want to have the option to work indoors or outdoors in a quiet and safe environment, so that I can be productive on my task and enjoy my surroundings view.
