My Role
UX designer, designing an app for Burger Feast Meal from conception to delivery.
Responsibility
Conducting interviews, paper and digital wireframing, low and high-fidelity prototyping, conducting usability studies, accounting for accessibility, and iterating on designs.
Problem Statement
Busy workers, students and commuter parents lack the time to make food at home.
Goals
Design a customized Burger Feast Meal fast food app that allows customers to order tasty food from their comfortable couches easily and get quick delivery to their doors.

Problem statements
User research summary
I conduct a interview and create a personas to empathise with the users i’m designing for, and their needs.
A personas group identified through research was working parents and students with tons of responsibility who don’t have much time to spend in the kitchen.
The group confirm initial assumption about fast food ordering App, but research also highlight that,
Most of working parents have more important duties to cover daily which makes things difficult to get groceries to cooking or go to the restaurants in-person.

Target Audience
busy immigrant parents and students who don't have time to cook at home.
Pain Points
1. Accessibility
Things are hard to read and see sometimes.
The lack of high contrast makes it difficult.
2. Accessibility/IA
It’s hard to read through all the text sometimes,
Hard to scan information, especially on a small phone screen.
3. Time
Lack of organization and time management.
Too busy to spend time in the kitchen.

Persona: Joseph
Goal: Read and understand English so I can freely order food from the fast food App.
Information Architecture/User Flow
Sketches/Low-fidelity Wireframes
With an idea of all the necessary screens, I sketched several iterations of each screen. To make the experience easy and intractable for the users, I prioritised ease to use and a quick ordering process while sketching.
Digital wireframes
I aim to design a product that people can use and feel comfortable with. Therefore, digital wireframe testing is one of the most relevant parts of my design process.
For this part, I connected the screens of the lo-fi digital wireframes to create a low-fidelity prototype.
The benefit of a track
order button allows
users to follow up
with their order.
A priority delivery
option benefits users
who want fast and
quick delivery.
Reviews
My thought and goal while designing these mobile screens were to allow users to select a delivery option according to their daily schedule and track it to avoid inconveniences.
Low-fidelity prototype
connected the screens of the lo-fi digital wireframes to create a low-fidelity prototype as displayed in the image below.
This prototype was then tested with 3 participants,

Accessibility
Mockups
Early designs did not specify the prices and food details, but after the usability studies, I added prices and additional options to choose the meals you want.
I also revised the design so users can see all the customization options when they first land on the menu screen.

High-fidelity prototype
The final high-fidelity prototype presented cleaner user flows for
building a burger feast meal and checkout. It also meets user needs for a pickup or
delivery option as well as more customization. View the Burger Feast Meal.

Key Takeaways
Impact:
The app makes users feel like Burger Feast Meal really thinks about how to meet their needs.
One quote from peer feedback:
" Such a friendly and easy app, especially the fact that it' gives you more options on the payment method and the track your order as well"
What I learned:
While designing the Burger Feast Meal app, I learned that the first ideas for the app are only the beginning of the process. Usability studies and peer feedback influenced each iteration of the app's designs.
Refining the design
Conduct another round
of usability studies to validate
whether the pain points users
experienced have been effectively
addressed.
Conduct more user research
to determine any new areas of need.
